Summer Games will be held in College Station at Texas A&M University for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.

Parking

Free parking will be located down the street from the Student Recreation Center in lots 100J and 97. Paid parking is located across the street from the Student Recreation Center in 100G and the West Campus Parking Garage. Parking tags not required. Overnight parking and RVs not permitted.

Clear the Pool

The facility will be completely cleared of people and property between sessions. All bags and property will be placed in lost and found if left between sessions.

Pool Deck

Spectator bleachers are provided to watch the meet. AT NO TIME should any person not competing in the session be on the deck, heating or event area. This has been communicated to us and can result in disqualification of swimmers and/or sanctions for the team as a whole. This area is for vetted coaches and current session swimmers ONLY.

Warm-up/Cool-Down Pool

The Warm-up/Cool-Down will be available. This pool is only available for warm-ups and cool-down, leisure and horseplay is strictly forbidden.

Ready Bench

Ready bench is provided to all 10 & under swimmers. Coaches will send swimmers to ready bench.

11 and Up Swimmers

All 11 and up swimmers are expected to report directly to their lane for their race. Please pay attention to the current event, as their will be no delay to wait for a late swimmer. There is a coach at the swimmer area, to get swimmers to the right place, but it is ultimately your swimmer's responsibility to be in the correct area before their event.

Ribbons and Medals

Medals are awarded to swimmers placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Ribbons will be awarded to swimmers placed 4th-8th. You can keep track of the meet thru the Meet Mobile app. Awards will generally be available 30 minutes after official results are posted at the awards table.

Disqualifications

Check the posted results on the far wall after your swimmers race. If you see a DQ, that you think is an error, please get with the coaches asap. There is a 30 minute, $20 contest period after it is posted. Film your child's races. TAAF will not accept video evidence, but it will show the coaches what may or may not have occurred.

Results

Unofficial results will be on the Meet Mobile app. Official results will be posted, after the events. After the meet, official results will be posted to swimtaaf.com.

What to Bring

  • Properly fitted suit
  • Properly fitted goggles (spare goggles optional)
  • Swim Cap (extra cap optional)
  • Water
  • Towels (Extra towels to keep warm at indoor meets)
  • Sharpie Marker - to write events and names on swimmers
  • Appropriate snacks
    • Crackers, Protein/Granola Bars, Fruit, Sports Drinks
    • Avoid fatty and greasy snacks as they can lead to upset stomachs.
  • Patience
  • Books, tablets, coloring books for downtime
    • Please keep track of any valuables
  • NO ALCOHOL, SMOKING, PROFANITY OR VERBAL ABUSE IS ALLOWED AT SWIM MEETS.

FAQ's

  • How long is the meet?
    • Typically 3-4 hours.
  • Will the afternoon session start on time?
    • It depends on the morning session, as there must be 1 hour break between morning and afternoon sessions.
  • Can my child sit with me during the meet?
    • Yes, but it will be your responsibility to get your child to the ready bench (10 and under), or the lane (11 and up). without accessing the deck.
  • Can I sit on-deck in the swimmer area?
    • No, access to the deck and swimmer area is only for current session swimmers and vetted coaches. If you are not swimming in the current session, please stay out of the roped off deck area. Failure to do so, could lead to swimmer disqualification and/or team sanctions.
  • Can I save my seat between sessions?
    • No, spectators and property will be cleared from the facility between sessions.
  • Can I bring drinks and snacks?
    • Swimmers can bring drinks and snacks with them to the swimmers area.
    • Spectators will not be allowed to bring in food or drinks. Concessions will be provided.
  • Is there Summer Games merchandise available?
    • We do have a team shirt that is available for purchase a few weeks prior to the games, this will have a roster of the LJST state qualifiers on the back.
    • At the games, there are typically vendors available with event clothing and swim gear.
