Registration Questions
- Please see our FAQs Section
-
Does my child have to be able to swim the full length of the pool?
- LJST is not a learn-to-swim program or group swim lessons, nor do we have the ability to assign a coach to each swimmer. Swimmers without basic swimming skills pose a safety issue to themselves.
- Your swimmer should already have some basic swimming skills before joining the team and be able to swim the entire length of the pool (25-yards) unassisted prior to the first day of practice. (50-yards for ages 11+)
- Swim lessons are available through the Lake Jackson Recreation Center.
-
Do you have discounts for registration?
- Unfortunately, we do not as it is very expensive to run a swim program.
- Alternatively, you could take a free and local CCAA Meet Officials (2 hour) course which would allow you to referee meets during the season. This allows you to get your volunteer hours and $50 per meet.
- Home meets require more officials.
- No limit on the amount of times you can referee. *While positions are available.
- Must be 15+
- Great way for a high schooler to make some money while coming to the meet.
- Must wear a white shirt to meet.
